Uninstallation
In order to completely uninstall Sierra++, you need to :
- first, remove the Sierra++ study from every chart on which it is installed,
- then delete the Sierra++ files from your computer.
Sierra++ includes a self-removal feature, making the first step very easy : when loading a chart on which Sierra++ study is installed, if your access is disabled, the Sierra++ study removes itself from the chart.
If you delete Sierra++ .dll file before removing Sierra++ studies from your charts, then you can manually remove Sierra++ studies chart by chart using the standard Sierra Chart way.
Automatic uninstall
- Wait until your access is disabled (license expiration or end of free demo/trial)
- Restart Sierra Chart
- For every chartbook containing at least one Sierra++ study :
- open it (this will trigger self-removal) and wait until charts are fully loaded
- then save it
- Close Sierra Chart and delete Sierra++ files
Manual uninstall, step by step
Automatic uninstall above is recommended.
Here is a detailed explanation, in case you need to do it manually.
1. Disable your access
If your license is active or if your free demo/trial is active, you need to disable your access to prevent Sierra Chart from downloading Sierra++ binaries again. This will also make it possible to use self-removal feature.
Send an email to [email protected] specifying your Sierra Chart User Name.
2. Remove Sierra++ studies from your charts
If Sierra++ .dll file is present on your computer and your access is enabled
There are two ways to remove Sierra++ studies :

For each chartbook Sierra++ is installed on :
- open it (this will trigger self-removal) and wait until charts are fully loaded
- then save it
If Sierra++ .dll file is deleted, or not loaded by Sierra Chart for any reason
Then use the Sierra Chart way.
